Outdoor Promenade Events - Arts on the Prom
    Drumming Circle
  Every Wednesday in July & August Commencing Wednesday 2 July
  Join local musician Aidan Milligan for this exciting heart-pumping class and learn how to play the West African Djembe drums. This is a drop-in session and is free to all that would like to take part.

    Outdoor Sketching Class
  Every Thursday in July and August Commencing Thursday 3 July
  Martin McParland introduces the art of outdoor sketching and each week will move to different
areas on Newcastle Promenade. Bring along pencils, paper, a board to lean on and something
to sit on. The group will meet in the reception area of the Newcastle Centre at the beginning of
each class then head down the Prom to catch the breathtaking sights of Newcastle.

    Scottish Dancing
  Friday 18 July & Friday 8 August
  Enjoy the swirl of the dancers as they promenade, circle and reel their way through a selection of
Scottish Country Dances. These fun dances are easy to learn and there will be plenty of opportunity for you to join in. Authentic music is guaranteed so if you do not wish to dance, relax and watch the dance called “Joie de Vivre” and enjoy life. You don’t have to be Scottish to do it!
